This poem was written after just getting well from my initial experience with Lymphoma which started in July of 1997.  I had taken oral chemotherapy for six months, and was pondering on all the changes in my life at age 58.

HIS KINGDOM COME

The news of illness causes us to look at depth within…At how we stand with neighbors, our mate, and all our kin.

Have we ministered the Gospel–by life and word and deed…Or did we spend our precious time with thought to just our need?

It causes us to ponder much…just who and what we’ve missed…When time is of the essence–thoughts of heaven top our list!

We find we want to “get it right”–our time that’s left; for HIM…His Kingdom come right here on earth–not just what might have been!
